I overheard this while buying fruits from a fruit vendor after dinner during the Nine Emperor Gods Festival...
Auntie : Eh.... is this Fruit vegetarian ?
Fruit Vendor : yay... this fruit is vegetarian... veli safe to eat..
Me : O_o
Its strange you know.... that a fruit can be seperated into vegetarian and non-vegetarian fruit.
Aiya... how come a fruit is a vegetarian one ? .. lol somemore prior to asking one of my colleagues who ate only vegetarian during this period.... he told me tat ginger is not considered a vegetable as becoz its an ingredient to enhance the flavour of a dish and not a main vegetable dish itself.....
I wonder if they will try to make vegetarian fruit from flour... hmmm..... strange.. :p

mm...dunno bout fruits but i know ginger/onions are not considered vegetarian because it was grown in the ground and it absorbed negative energy or something like that... o well a vegetarian should know better :D
izit ?? .. then does tat mean if we were to grow ginger in a pot and have it elevated from the ground then it can be considered vegetarian ginger ?
if its so... then we can be million liao !!! woot !! .. sell vegetarian ginger :p
