Estimation

We have underestimated...

 

1. The number of guests whom will be coming from outstation

2. The total number of tables for the wedding dinner banquet

3. The wedding budget... the miscellaneos costs is floating the budget alot... Thank God we managed to find cheaper accomodation for our guests & able to adjust accordingly...

4. The Wedding Day Schedule itself.... its going to be a full blown whole day event starting from 6am to 11pm... which by then i suspect we only able to rest at 12am...

 

We have overestimated...

 

1. The number of available "Zhee Mui" (Sisters) for the "Fetch the Bride" event... all of Siew's close friends are either working or unavailable to help

2. The number of attendees for the Wedding Ceremony

3. Those whom we thought are coming are not coming, while those whom were not free to come are coming

Weight Lost

"You have Lost Weight oh"... those 4 words minus the "oh" injected some sort of reality shock to me.... not in a good way... i was hoping to put on weight so that i wont look so thin during my BIG day... so that i will look bigger in a coat... but those words uttered by my mum when she came up for the food tasting was a suprised to me.... I didnt expect to loose weight...  i wanted to gain instead... -_-" gahh.... mission failed.. lol

 

yes... maybe u gals out there would have shouted for joy if you were in my position but not for me... i was fat once... with my waist growing to 33 on the verged of hitting 34.. now i think i have shrunk to 32... -_-" not good when i bought some new pants which is around the 33-34 waist zone...

 

ya... side tip.... want to lose weight? Go planned your own wedding & at the same go and prepare a new house for moving in.... with the running around and all sort of minor things needing to look into will guarantee you loose a few pounds...

 

 

2am

Thats the time me & lovely slept last night.... we were going through alot of un-finish details for the wedding week and found out that there is soooooooo many complications ....

 

1. Whom to call for the brothers or sisters for the "Fetch the bride" event... if invite one dont invite the other dont seem so nice.. if invite the others there will be transportation complications.. not to mention the house imploding with the number of ppl having to squeeze into the house.... Note: both my house and lovely house is not that big.. and counting only the totall ppl to be in the house during the morning event is already reaching bout 70-80 ppl... *faint*

 

2. TRANSPORTATION !!! .... this is one one big headache.... who to go with whom with which car to where on wat time and whom to go later... my side.. siew side somemore... *brain fizzling out*

 

3. Food .... everyone knows im not a good food critic...as long as its edible... and i can eat it... i can stuff it... now i need to figure out wats the menu for the dinner the night before... the lunch for the day itself ... somemore having alot of ideas from the last food tasting is not going to help salvage much idea on how to finalized what the precious guest are going to eat... God knows i dont wish to give them diarrhea for my wedding event..

 

4. Detaills.... Detailsss... & Detaills...... so many small little details are popping up like mushroom after a rain... if only this details can be cashed i would have one problem less to think about....

 

5. Banquet dinner complications... Sitting arrangement... how to toast the guests.. how to broached the wine topic.. food finalization... vegetarian requests...... 

 

But thank God we managed to settle this complications...

 

1. Lodging place for KL heng dai & Dad frens

2. Lodging place for Siew frens & relatives

No voice

It started off with sore throat ....

Then the fever strikes....

After countering the fever with some panadol, only a course throat remains

The throat gets coarser & coarser..

Now i have no voice...

 

And its a friday.... gah...

 

When time is never enough

Have not been updating the blog :p, been busy with work, wedding preparation and preparing the house...

 

Some updates for you listeners out there...

- We (me and lovely lar :p) went on a shopping spree at furniture shops.. bought a bed, a sofa, a dining table, 4 chairs for the dining table, tv table (without TV yet, anyone wanto contribute ? :p), mirrors, shelfs, a cooker hood & a shoe cabinet ...

- The Bed, sofa, cooker hood & shoe cabinet will be arriving tomorrow

- I think we both have covered 80% of all the furniture & electrical shops in penang already while looking for all those items

- Dining table, chairs for dining table and tv table were bought from KL and shifted up in our tiny kenari... you have no idea how much we abused our kenari aledi lol.. suspension sure koyak soon 1... hahaha

- took some days to installed the mirrors & shelfs , also tried to change the toilet cistern which didnt managed to pass QC .. lol.. water was leaking from some part of the pipes.... should have used the pvc tape to roll over them pipes before securing it into the product.. need to redo else one of the bathroom is inoperable :p

- Attended the marriage counselling course last 2 weeks and will attend another session tomorrow with the pastor whom will be presiding over our wedding ceremony... 1st class was on about getting to know each other and also about communication between we both... albeit: how well we communicate to each other, how much we know of each other.. its a good refreshing class to let us think over how our current communication between each other is and how to work on it more and what is lacking that we wished to have more.. hehehe.. interesting i tell you... tomolo class will be about home economics .. looking forward to it.. :D
- still working on the wedding invitation card with the supplier... hopefully will be able to get it before the raya holidays... thanks to my Imoto for helping with the design and also for taking our nonsense requests for the card :p hehehe

- have changed wedding honeymoon plans to a local retreat in langkawi after the wedding instead of going overseas for the honeymoon due to $$ constraint and also time constraints ... however have hit a stumbling block trying to figure out which resort to stay at due to the cost and some of the packages not attractive enough :p.....

 

ok.. back to work.. been busy with work also...

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Eric, the 11 year old next door, whose bedroom looks like Mission Control and asked him to come over. Eric clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.

As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong? He replied, "It was an ID ten T error."

I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, "An, ID ten T error? What's that? In case I need to fix it again."

Eric grinned.... "Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?"

My Wedding Blog

I have started my wedding blog recently.... Alex + Siew ... go there to get updated on my progress of our wedding preparation...

Brain Dead

Im still brain dead even after drinking 2 cuppa of coffee... my V6 engine cannot start.. hahaha.. uggh...

Butter on a Pancake

 I still feel like a butter over a flat piece of pancake.... here are some quick updates :

 

- Wedding Bridal photo shoot selection... This process took 2 DAYS to complete !! and also costs some additional $$... *sigh*..

 

- Contemplating if we should sign on a wedding band to come perform ...

 

- House reno not in progress but hoping to do something this weekend...

 

- Apparently im very "free" in the company, in addition to the projects i already am managing, 3 more projects were dumped on to my lapped in a spate of 1 week.. -_-" *sigh*

 

- New Manager in my team, so far so good no comment yet

 

- Begining to feel the petrol costs pinching into my worned out wallet.. speaking of which is already full of holes and tears.. not coin friendly as all coins will pling-pling on the floor if attempted to put inside it

 

- Declared that Lovely must cook some days a week once we are married as eating out is a bore

 

- Getting restless as the days count down to the big day..... as alot of things not yet completed yet...

Butter Effect

Currently Im feeling like a butter spread over a big big big flat piece of roti canai... im not concentrated but am all over... *sigh*....

Foraging For "Keperluan Rumah"

Last "last" weekend (delayed posting :p as no time to complete), I plundered my mums house of a few essentials and brought back to Penang to fill my new house :D...

 

The list of things I managed to pilfered :p

1. Semi-Automatic Washing Machine

2. 2x 130cm Curtain Blinds

3. Microwave Oven

4. Rice Cooker

5. Full Set of Cooking Pots & Pans Silverware

6. Rubbish Bin (yes.. i took back one of them step and pop open type :p)

7. Cooking utensils

 

and we also went shopping at ikea to buy a few other stuffs also...

Things bought :
1. Simple Wall Clock
2. Cookware of 3 pots of different sizes 
3. 10pcs Hanger
4. 2x Toilet Brush
5. Kitchen Rail with hooks

6. Dining Cutlery
7. 300m Curtain Rail with hooks
8. 2x Blanket for guests (so u guys dont get cold whn u come up :p)
9. 2x Wall Spot Light & Energy Saving Light Bulbs to go
10. 4pcs mirror

 

completed all this in 1 whole day... was exhausted by the end of it... ahh but you must be wondering how im going to bring up all this loot to penang huh ? ... easy peachy with my kenari ... hahahaha .. yes.. u heard it.. im stuffing a washing machine a microwave oven and a whole load of crap into my measly size kenari car :p ..  you should seen how cramped my whole car was.. .. flattened them back seats to make space for the washing machine...  came down with an empty car... gone back up with a full mini sized truck.. lol :p

 

oh yeah.. farnee thing... i got stopped by them traffic police while on the PLUS travelling back up... nope.. not for speeding... for the bunch of stuff in my car.. all he did was ask wats in the back of my seat and to checked my driving license ... maybe to see if i was some dude whom jst stole a whole bunch of things or not :p... once i told the officer that its only "barang barang keperluan" he left me on my own way back... hehehe.. ok time for minor renovations on me new house d :p

Too many things to do...

I have too many things to do... 

 

1. Collect 2 water heater, a cooker hub & a vacumn cleaner which bought during the warehouse sales

2. Bring Lovely withdraw money to pay loans/credit card & to cancel her TMnet account

3. Apply for Electricity at TNB

4. Apply for Water at JBA

5. Apply for PBB Current Account with Internet banking facilities using return cheque from housing loan

6. Take down house measurements for furniture hunting purposes

7. Photostat Birth cert of Bride & Bridegroom, & also photostat IC of witnesses then have it Duty stamped by a Comissioner of Oath

 

Countdown : 5 months and 26 Days

Woot !! Got the keys to the house already :D hehehe... but when checked the condition of the house, seems like need to do alot more things to fix for the house to be liveable....

Things to do
1. Change Master Bedroom Lock, previous owner lost the key so if it gets lock we have to sleep in the hall and have access to only one bathroom lol

This door doesnt have keys to unlock it

2. Repaint the hall, the door grill and all three rooms

The grill have already rusted

3. Relocate the aircond from the master bedroom to the 3rd room and get a new aircond as the aircond not in optimum condtion, to also wash/maintain the 2 airconds
This aircond have no control and looks like wanto die like tat

4. Install sliding windows or curtain to the washing machine drying area

Outsiders are able to see into the hallway as its veli open

5. Install curtain rails to the main hall, master bedroom & 2nd room windows

The Living Hall with the tinted windows, and a black patch which i think was caused by the previous owner tv emission?

6. Detach the 3rd room ceiling fan as its too big

Its taking 80% of the ceiling space...

7. Fix the dining hall light

That light with the 3 bulbs cannot be switch on, have no idea why, the black path on the right is from the previous owner praying altar

8. Fix the toilet door, condition still ok but not easy to slide open/close

9. Relaminate toilet door as both doors have horrible pictures

Everyday have fish ? Noooooo....

10. Cement a small part of the wall near the door entrance

What else am i missing out ? mmmm...


Outside view from the living hall, the owner left the astro satelite dish for us, but doubt will be getting astro at home :p

Pre-Wedding Photo Shoot

Tomolo is the pre-wedding photo shoot for me and lovely..... you must be asking, why need a pre-wedding photo shoot which cost bout 3k when for the same amount you can hire a good event photographer to cover on the actual wedding day and in the same night prep the photo montage for the viewing pleasures of your "audiences" *ahem* i mean guests... well.. think of the following reasons...

 

Pros to a Pre-Wedding Photo shoot

1. Different Gowns/Suits with Different backgrounds

2. Different Poses which is directed by professionals who knows how to pose for the camera

3. The Bride gets to be a model once in her lifetime

4. The Groom gets to experience becoming a background object

5. The package usually includes rent of the wedding gowns/suit for the Actual wedding day and also some others niceies which the bridal house will throw in

 

Cons to a Pre-Wedding Photo shoot

1. Usually costs a bunch of $$$

2. Minimal 1 full day of photo shooting

3. The Groom feels like a tree

4. The tree can sprout fruits by the end of the day

5. The end of the day feels like autumn

 

:p hahaha... well that is just some of my view lar... but i will be going into the role of a tree prepared !!! ... bringing myself some bottles of livita, a bottle of eye mo moisturizer & maybe a book to enjoy :D

Eye

Visited the optician last night and found out i need a new pair of specs due to flunctuations of the degree of myopia on both my eyes... been planning to change spectacles anyway.... but didnt expect the optical power to increase so much.. *sigh*. My right eye power increased from 450 to 500 and the astigmatism increased from 75 to 125.... which i hinted to my sister that the extra 50 astigmatism is due to it migrated from my left eye.. lol... Farnee actually... my left eye now is 600 from 500 and the astigmatism is now 0.

 

Spending bout 200 to get the new specs.... will be getting it in 5 days :p... hope i can maintain my handsome looks.. :p hahhahaa

Sick

I was out for the whole of last week due to a throat infection.... was visiting the clinic for at least 4 times the whole week due to the non-subsidizing fever.... even had a fever injection shot to bring down the fever... i feel better for a day but the next day BOOM... back on the bed.... apparently the initial doctor prescribe me the batch of antibiotics which was not hitting the virus at all.... -_-"... was on a new batch of antibiotics by thursday after my initial batch finished ... i was so lethagic and tired and full of antibiotics by the end of the week... uggh... hate medicines... lol... but Thank God i managed to run and kick a few balls on the sunday... gave me a chance to run out the medicine in me blood.. hehehehe

When....

Thats the question which is being bothering me for some time now....

Its not easy settling down a date to choose for the Wedding...

The following are reasons which arrises when picking a date...

1) Not school holiday not convenient for people with kids to come

2) Not Dinner no many people will come...dont want to lose angpao...

3) Most dinner function dates are booked already

4) Too rush to do a lunch....

5) Close best fren not able to come for the dinner date which is available...

 

Now im stucked... inbetween choosing a dinner date which is available but my closest childhood fren not able to come.. and a lunch date which most ppl object to....

 

If only things were more simpler...

Dear Blog,

 

Do you still remember me ? Its been a while since i talked to you, I have been very busy lately. Work, House shopping, Christmas, New Year & also Chinese New Year lol :p. I been good, been eating lots, i think im getting fatter hahahaha .. oh yeah... i ate too much of seafood during cny and im stung with some sort of neck rash which after 3 visits to the doctor was proclaimed "allergy reaction" instead of "fungus infection" :p ....  anyway my neck now is just fine :D .. hohoho, it seems im plague with neck skin problems :p

 

How have you been doing ? Must be bored without me updating you lol... well let me update you on what i been doing :D... for one I already managed to procure a house .. .it cost a wee bit more expensive than the market price but the location is very good and also the house is comfortable hehehe. And also with the new house im finally able to lay down my wedding plan which btw is already in motion :p... after which i proposed to Lovely during CNY hehehe ... only problem now is finding a place to book for my wedding luncheon... November is one of them most busiest wedding month ever !! All them hotels are almost fully booked *faint* ....

 

Well, this is all the updates i can afford for now... will write to you soon :D... if i got a chance.. hehehe
